'Sharp first-base fair ball' irregular boundary that knocked out KT [sports news]

Kim Hyun-soo's RBI double in the bottom of the seventh inning breaks down KT's bullpen and they lose the game

Kim Hyun-soo says he'll follow through

Game 2 of the 2023 KBO Korean Series between the KT Wiz and the LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on Monday. LG's Kim Hyun-soo hits a two-run double in the seventh inning.

A two-run homer by Park Dong-won off Park Young-hyun in the bottom of the eighth inning was the one blow that derailed KT Wiz's hopes of a second straight win in the 2023 KBO Korean Series.

However, it was Kim Hyun-soo's RBI double with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning that shifted the momentum to the opposition as KT was unable to score another run.

KT took a 4-0 lead in the second game of the best-of-seven Korean Series (KS-7) against the LG Twins at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Monday before falling 4-5.

They scored four runs off LG starter Choi Won-tae in the top of the first inning, but were unable to add to their lead and eventually succumbed to LG's onslaught.

The actual turning point came in the bottom of the seventh inning, when KT led 4-2.

After Son Dong-hyun walked Park Hae-min with two outs, the KT bench turned to its most reliable card in the bullpen, Park Young-hyun.

Kim Hyun-soo: 'The upset is right around the corner!

Game 2 of the 2023 KBO Korean Series between the KT Wiz and the LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul on August 8. LG's Kim Hyun-soo, first baseman, celebrates after hitting a two-run double in the seventh inning.

Park Young-hyun, who was facing Kim Hyun-soo, decided to go for the fastball after his changeup didn't work, and Kim realized that and hit a double that sailed past KT first baseman Park Byung-ho.

Park Byung-ho, who was playing line defense at first base, was unable to catch the ball because it was too fast.

It was a disappointing moment for Park, who played solid first base defense throughout the series.

Park Byung-ho has bad memories of playing first base in the Korean Series.

It was Game 5 of the 2014 Korean Series against the Samsung Lions when he was playing for the Nexen (now Kiwoom) Heroes.

With the series tied at 2-2, Nexen faced runners on second and third in the bottom of the ninth inning.

A low pitch from Son Seung-rak was pulled by Choi Hyung-woo, and first baseman Park Byung-ho failed to catch a "sharp first base fairball. 슬롯

The newly revamped Handball Winter League kicks off today at SK Handball Stadium in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

The handball league, which was held under the name SK Handball Korea League until last season, will be known as the Shinhan SOL Pay 2023-2024 Handball League after attracting an external title sponsor from this season.

The opening match between the SK Sugar Gliders and the Busan Facilities Corporation on Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. will draw attention to the presence of foreign players.

SK Sugar Gliders' Ikumi Iwabuchi (Japan) and Busan Facilities Corporation's Alina Molkova (Estonia) and Joana da Costa (Angola) are the three foreign players in the women's division this season, and they will face off in the opening match on the first day.

Mokova and Da Costa arrived in Korea in July and have been working diligently with the local athletes.

"My teammates are treating me well, the facilities and training conditions are good, and I'm getting along well," they said on Aug. 8 at the Korean Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, adding, "The food is generally good, but the concept of 'spicy' is not what I'm used to."

Born in 1997, Molkova is a 5-foot-11 left back for the Estonian national team. She has played in the Israeli, German, and Portuguese leagues and led her team to the Portuguese league title in 2022.

She was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Portuguese Cup last year and the Best Women's Handball Player in Estonia for five consecutive years starting in 2018.

Da Costa, a right back born in 1996, has played in the French and Spanish leagues and represented Angola in 2018, leading the team to the top of the African Championship.

Da Costa speaks Portuguese, and Molkova also plays in the Portuguese league and speaks some Portuguese, so communication between the two is easy.

"With their national team experience, they will be a great addition to the team," said Kang Jae-won, head coach of Busan Facilities Corporation. "The newly signed Lee Hye-won is also a player with great potential for development, so we will challenge for good results with new team colors in the new season." 슬롯사이트
